The previous 5 years have seen a remarkable increase in the sale of containerized pump houses. Although not approved as a pump house under all specifications, the benefits and ease of installation for consultants and contractors, as well as financial and ownership benefits for the end clients, have increased the popularity of the containerized pump houses.
In January of 2024, Davron received their 100th containerized pump house order. Davron believe the repeat orders for these containerized pumpsets highlight the customers trust and faith in Davron's ability to continually deliver on their requirements, and to provide a quality product that they are proud to have associated with the customers’ company name and their service offering.
The popularity of the containerized solution results from the plug and play simplicity it provides, offering the contractor many advantages that reduce installation time and costs at site, limiting the number of people to undergo length and costly inductions and site medicals, and reducing the risk that equipment arrives at site and certain installation materials cannot be sourced. Once delivered, other contractors need only bring the incoming power supply to the DB board, and route all pipes and connect all pipes to the various pipe flanges/connections external to the container.
The intent of the containerized pumpset, is that the clients receives an approved pumpset, which the client knows is operational, reliable and based on accepted standards. The clients has peace of mind knowing that the pumpset and associated equipment is of the same standard, quality and reliability as would be received if the pumproom was made of brick. The containerized pumphouse would be complete with the electrical supply and electrical distribution taken care off. The electrical supply could include lighting, plugs for alternate use, DB boards, electrical pump starter and controller, diesel engine controller, jockey pump controller. The auto start test arrangement would be installed and wired to the controllers. The mechanical installation would include the suction and discharge piping, valves, gauges and pressure switches, fuel tanks and bund pans for the diesel driven pumpsets are typically installed.
